Childhood Immunisations and Child Health Surveillance

All Childhood Immunisations Years 0-5 are carried out by the Forth Valley Vaccination Team based in the Sensory Centre in Camelon.  All recall and follow-up is administered by that team.

Babies will be seen by a GP at the Practice for their 8 week examination and we will contact you with an appointment.

If you have any queries about your child's vaccination schedule or appointment please contact Child Health directly on 01786 454599.

Cervical Smears

Women should book an appointment with a practice nurse for their smears as advised at the time of their last smear. The Scottish Cervical Call/Recall System (SCCRS) which was implemented in May 2007 will invite women due for cervical screening for the first time and those due to be recalled, based on the date and result of their last smear.

Health Review Clinics

If you suffer from one or more chronic disease i.e. asthma, COPD, diabetes or coronary heart disease, you will be invited to attend for a health review with one of our Practice Nurses. This will involve a 20-40 minute appointment. You may also be given an appointment to have blood tests prior to the health review so that the nurse has your results to discuss with you at your appointment. If you are unable to attend either of these appointments it is important that you inform the practice as soon as you can so that the appointment can be offered to another patient.
